Before collection
Ask the dealer what paint preparation and protection are included. If you are arranging a detail or coating separately, discuss that before handover so the work can be planned.
Checking the finish
Look at the paint in good light and note any marks you would like assessed. The preparation needed depends on the condition of the car when it arrives.
Preparing for a coating
New car protection can include decontamination, refinement polishing and a ceramic coating. I recommend combining a coating with machine polishing to prepare a fresh, contaminant-free surface.
